Night of the Living Dead 3D Trailer

Night of the Living Dead 3D Trailer

I know the composer of this film. Its been getting some mixed reviews but I think it might actually be pretty good. I really like the text message. Could that be from a zombie? By the way the composer's name is Jason Brandt.

Disneyland's Burning Cabin

The burning cabin is something I have long wondered about and I just saw that Yesterland has added that to its collection of bygone Disneyland attractions. If you have never been to the site, check it out. I'm sure it will bring back lots of memories and remind of the Disneyland that once was and as some may say, what could have been.

I have talked with many folks who don't even remember that there was once a corpse out in front of the cabin (located at the far end of Tom Sawyer's Island) and that the cabin was burning. Once the image was not concidered PC it was removed, although the burning cabin itself remained at the Magic Kindom at WDW . Its an interesting article, so check it out.

This is a nice shot from our walk yesterday evening. Although the ride through the grass was a bit bumpy for Brianna, I think both kids had a good time. I really like the "magic hour" lighting.

Amanda UnBoomed

OK so I was totally heartbroken to find out that Amanda Congden left Rocketboom and it seems there was quite a bit of drama. However, the new gal Joanne Colan, seems to be keeping the dream alive and in a not too shabby way. Check out the first Rocketboom 2.o video here.

I'll still be keeping up with Amanda, of course, because she is a great talent and I'm sorry she had to go, but hey, nothing lasts forever.

Just Plain Weird

Pink Holding Ground

So I came across this one on Appollo Pony by accident while looking for info on Rocketboom. I can't really say what it is suppose to be, but it was made for/with Adidas in some art funk way. I don't know because it's not exactly an ad and it has this creepy similarity to "Goldfinger. "

Maybe it's "Pinkfinger" Anyway, it will make you think twice about pink bedrooms.

Creepy, nostalgic, and cool. The Electric Company on DVD. Who'd a thunk.

Had to post this one for reasons I'm not quite sure about. I guess it's one of those, "Do you remember?" moments. My next post (2 in 1 day) will really be creepy.

New Music Video From David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff - "Jump In My Car"

OK, I'm posting this because it is absolutely ridiculous.
Now I liked "Knight Rider" as a kid so I'm happy to see these icons of the 80's still kicking and having fun.
I guess this is just shear cheez and you watch because you can't quite take your eyes away.

Anyway, what a great way to test the new Google video blogging Feature.

Here's The Description from Google video:

That's right, it's Hofficial... your favourite cult icon wants to take you home! The one and only David Hasselhoff of "Bay Watch" and "Knight Rider" fame returns with a cover of the
1975 classic 'Jump In My Car' and its a doozy. Recorded in Sydney last year with the legendary Harry Vanda (AC/DC, The Angels), the Ted Mulry Gang tune has been re-vamped with full Hoff gusto and this music video promises to rock the socks off all his Hofficial fans. Watch it, enjoy it, share it on Google Video, courtesy of Sony BMG Australia.

Yo Ho Yo Ho

I so want to go to Disneyland. Why? Because I'm sold out? Because I'm overly nostalgic? Because I'm caught in the web of youth reclamation which can never be satiated? Because Disneyland kicks but? Yes.

Anyway, great article hear at Mice Age and you should so check it out.

I think my biggest issue is knowing I won't be able to go for a couple of years until my kids are old enough to go again and we can save up to stay at the resort. I can't stay off property anymore, it just isn't the same.

Cheers!

Great Podcasts on Byzantium

http://www.anders.com/lectures/lars_brownworth/12_byzantine_rulers/

Check out the above podcast. Very cool if you are interested in informative and entertaining look back at a much misunderstood time in history. The Byzantine Empire was every bit a foundation for the western civilization we live in today. I dig it and went through all of the current podcasts rather quickly. I'm waiting for the next one to be published. According t0 the website, the author Lars Brownworth teaches at The Stony Brook School, a private boarding High School located on Long Island's North Shore approximately 50 miles East of New York City.

Here's a look at my dorm room from way back in 1995. You'll notice my the posters of what was popular back then and the old fashion Brother wordprocessor. Ahh, the good old days. That wordprocessor got me through college. The Star Wars and Pulp Fiction poster hang in my work cubicle today.

Trivia: This was the dorm in "Revenge of the Nerds" that the jocks throw the Nerds out of. Our room was located on the second floor directly above the entrance.

Playing with a 1976 Playschool Puzzletown

The generations collide here. Donovan is playing with my old Puzzletown set I had as a very young kid in the 70's. I've seen these things sell for over 60 dollars on ebay. I have to thank my Grandma Harp for keeping this and a few of my other toys intact for all these years.

Oil

OK, so my dad sent me this email forward that you know is typical propaganda about how the Middle East is taking our money and "What the cost of gas is really paying for" yadda yadda. Well the images it showed are true, and normally I tend to shy away from things that can be over generalized and taken out of context.

But it got me thinking that "other" countries are making an absolute killing on our oil sales and are able to build lavish sky resorts in the 120 degree heat dessert. So why the heck aren't we all moving much more quickly to BIO-DIESEL. Then our farmers could build their own luxury ski resort in the plains and deserts.

I mean, just ask Willie Nelson.

Now he's my kind of guy. Too bad neither of my vehicles are Diesel.

Them's my thoughts.

Once again..

I don't have much to say. We'll actually I finally watched Wednedsay Lost and what an odd episode it was. It was all about Charlie and frankly I think the plot is just running a little slow right now. I don't mean to say that I think they should be answering all the questions but really don't you think more stuff could happen. I mean we saw the "others" last week and now they are out of the picture again. I want to see Jack building his Army not Charlie hallucinating about baptising a baby. Speaking of which that was very creeping and I know some viewers were surprised to see Loch give Charlie the smack down but I expected it.

And one other thing with that show. Do the survivors not live at the "cave" anymore? What happened to that?
